Hi,
I've been reading the posts on the problems with the Gear Position Sensor and have a very similar problem. My bike, a 2008 Street Triple, has a hard time sensing it is in Neutral when it is.
When coming to a stop and selecting N the light will not come on and the gear indicator will show as 1 ( or 2 which ever gear I was in previously ), but the bike is in Neutral and I can let the clutch out safely.
Other times I can select N and the light and gear indicator are correct, but then ( without me touching the clutch ) it will decide its not in N and the light will go off and gear indicator change to 1.
Does it sound like a Gear Position Sensor issue as highlighted in other posts or something else? I usually does this when the bike is warm, but is not limited to that.
Thanks for any advice,
Jim
