Front tire axle bolt size?!

So... was wondering if anyone could tell me the size of that bolt (looks like a friggin' huge ass allen head).

I guess it could be called the front wheel spindle size?!

Front handlebars are tweaked to the right, relative to the bike going forward, and I was told by a great person (MacBandit) to loosen that bolt and the lower triple tree clamp and pump up/down to straighten out the forks (or to just retweak the bars in the opposite direction w/wheel between legs :x)

Front tire axle - bolt size?!

Hey guys -

So I'm not too positive if the Street Triple R and the Daytona share the same tire/fork specs but I was wondering if someone could give me the size of the front tire axle/spindle bolt size.

I'm talking about the huge ass bolt that's right next to the pinch bolts on the LH forks

Thanks in advance!

EDIT:
People hooked me up in the Street Triple sub forum quick... oops, sorry for the double post
Front axle is 17mm. I had to buy a motion pro axle tool to get mine out
You can get a 17mm allen key at Sears

Or you can get this at Harbor Freight Tools and it includes a 17mm socket for only $14.99. That way you have more fulcrum and torque than a mere allen key...and you can torque it to spec. One of my best buys there:

Awesome guys, thank you much for the quick replies!

Now to straighten out my tweaked bars... :(
+1 Sears. 8.99$.
Not sure if your talking about the allen key bolt but it's a 17mm allen key to get it out on the Daytona's. Not sure if that helps?
17mm hex key. Sears, 8.99$.
Sure does... thanks man. People are damn quick here  :rofl2:
Thread merged.
Is the front axle also 17mm for 2009+ models? I did a quick measure this morning and it looked closer to 20mm. Also the hex part of the axle is on the right instead of the left.

Yeah same for 09, just on the other side.
