I've been looking to get some leathers that I can wear around riding in town and canyons that are very breathable in the sweltering desert summer heat. I really like Astars but they are too pricy for me. I found these Fieldsheer Radar leathers to appear to have very good breathability and appear to be built rather sturdy for road or track. They look good too. Can you all give me opinions on what you think? Does anyone know if Fieldsheer is a good quality?

ya! I've found them for $476 and some change at:

www.bikebandit.com
www.revzilla.com
www.motorcyclecloseouts.com
www.renegaderacing.com

to name a few. I haven't found anything that appears to be as nice for that price. Also, would I be completely gay to wear a one piece riding/race suit around town while I am riding? My brother thinks it would be dumb to have a one piece suit if I'm not riding the track. I just really want all around protection for the 'what if's' of riding around a lot of traffic etc. And the one piece suits just look much better than the 2 piece suits in my opinion.

The teknic chicane suit from motorcycle closeouts was only $299 when I got it. Not sure if they have any left but it's a great deal for the money.

I've used Fieldsheer textile products for a few years and have been pleased with the quality. This spring I purchased a 2 piece Fieldsheer Radar suit for track and street. Some of my bud's got the chicane. No comparison..... the Radar is worth every penny.

My experience with fieldsheer customer support has been has been excellant. They have their own factorys and manufacture all of their gear. I'm not aware of any other mid priced leather product companies that can make that claim.

Go for the Fieldsheer, you won't be dissappointed.
