factory delivery dates: This month, next month, ?

I'm probably not the only one to be a little perplexed at the lack of precise delivery dates being advised by triumph to their dealers.

The story so far, no1 on the list at my dealer placed their order on 13-09-05 , the bike turned up at the dealer unannounced on tuesday 31st january.(THE DEALER HAD NO WARNING OF ITS DELIVERY) in graphite grey too very tasty!

No2 on the list me (order placed 16-09-05) thought my new toy might be on its way (Wish) and I'm advised by the dealer that its end of february or in march.

Somebody at the factory must have a schedule listing whats being built
and when for a certain week of the year and is shame they don't keep their dealers better informed!

its confusing, i knew more about what was happening (gleaned from here) than my dealer did, and he was leading the triumph stand at ally pally.

i guess theres a numerical list at triumph hq, and thats spread across all the dealers, worldwide. no1 and no 2 on your dealers list might be a few hundred apart on triumphs list :shock:

I agree, it would be nice to have a firm date. I don't think it's too much to ask.

bike cancelled.

if any one fancys a graphite 675 that was ordered in nov 05 there will be one at my dealers soon. i expect it will be there in march some time but i was told may so i canceled the order and brought a new speed triple i could not wait half the season will be over by the time i get the bike.

no but hope to try the dealers demo this week when i take my D600 in for its service.

I don't feel as though i want to change my bike yet cos i haven't had my monies worth from this one and the cost to change is too much in my opinion. I have been disappointed in how much value has been lost on my D600 in just two years though i realise it's not Triumphs alone that struggle in that respect. It seems to be the case with everything these days.

have you been given a date?
did they tell you your bike had arrived earlyer this month only to tell you it was the wrong delivery?
i bet that pi*/ed you off a bit.

did they tell you your bike had arrived earlyer this month only to tell you it was the wrong delivery?
i bet that pi*/ed you off a bit.

No date yet, and yes i was one of those people. I sorted a loan insurance and a lift to the dealership (~100miles) just to be told it wasnt mine. I'm hopeing for march 1st but Havnt had anything from triumph yet.
