So I have this dent in my cowl.......thought it was plastic but plastic would have cracked right? any reccomendations on how to fix? I was thinking of just laying down a towel and going to town with a rubber malled.

Heat gun LOW heat, very carefully warm (not cook) and press (massage) it out.
Take your time, you don’t want to burn it or tarnish the paint.

Hair dryer on high might get it warm enough.
A heat gun is the industrial equivalent of a hair dryer, like 300-500 degrees C so caution is highly recommended when playing with plastic!
Useful tool, don't use it to dry your hair with. :FIREdevil:
