Hi, I have a 2006 Daytona 675 and after a few stop and starts whilst out on a ride the bike wants to stall, I think it’s low battery as it stays on if over 4000rpm but I can’t keep sitting at lights doing that.
Once charged it’s ok but I feel like I can’t pull over once out on a ride!
I have replaced the battery and use a trickle charger as i take it out once a week if I’m lucky but it’s still happening. It even stops the speed being read after a while and it stays on 0mph no matter what.
Has anyone experienced this, might it not be the battery?
I would appreciate peoples thoughts?

A low/flat battery will not stop a vehicle from running. You could physically remove the battery once started and the vehicle will still run. It's more likely the flat battery is a result of a poor charging system. Start by testing the reg/rec and stator.

Hi thanks for your reply. Do you think this is why it only happens below 4000rpm’s? It does go away once the battery has charged over night, a few starts then brings it on.
