Now the "Quote" feature is not working. Still have the lag issues. I can no longer highlight text. This latest upgrade really sucks.
What device, browser, and skin are you using? I have no issues with any of the above. Have you tried clearing your cache to see if this fixes the issue?

Making the change to Compatibility Mode didn't have any effect. Switching to Google Chrome did speed up site navigation considerably. I absolutely loathe Google Chrome - would rather stomp through hot dog manure bare-footed than use that craptastic format, but I guess I will have to sell out if I want to take part on this forum, and a few others that are run by this same entity. :frown2:

Even in Google Chrome - the entire page jumps down to load the banner before I can do anything - I can't help but think the banners are indeed a large part of the issue as mentioned in another post. I don't know what has changed - but something that site administration did when they jacked with the password thingy had a huge impact.

Just use the motorcycle.com app. Mine runs flawlessly. It's great to use when pooping

Hey guys,

Regarding the issues you are coming across in chrome, make sure you have the latest version of the browser.

Have you tried using this forum on another browser like FireFox?

Richard.
1. Running latest version of Chrome.

2. I used to use Firefox a few years ago, then a bunch of sites I was part of made changes and Firefox made things run like crap, so it was recommended by those site administrators to quit using Firefox, lol. So... I up-ended my browsing world to just use Internet Explorer. I thought everything emanated out of Explorer, so I'd be safe with the most basic platform. This seems to be a never-ending cycle, back and forth between web browsers. :frown2:

Unresponsive scripts and choppy site loading are extremely common issues with members and moderators across all boards. these issues have a number of troubleshooting ways to fix it.

Shockwave is usually a pretty big factor in this, along with outdated browsers, flash, java, and not having enough processing power on whatever device you are accessing the board with.

Below are common fixes to fix this. video ad's can be turned to "click to play" instead of autplaying. and a few other fixes can be applied as well to streamline your browser experience.

If it is still an issue, it could be a rogue Ad with bad stuff attached potentially.

keep in mind a number of things can cause this, not just the back end. but could be extensions, plugins, malware, etc.

here is the more common fixes for this:

- shockwave being unstable. disabling or deleting this could help
- updating your flash and java to the lastest update
- any rogue extensions that "auto installed" on your browser without you knowing.
- malware or spyware has piggybacked your browser
- hardware acceleration could be incompatible with your system in general.
- Rogue Ad causing the issue as well.
- Cookies and cache are outdated and need to be cleaned
- temporary internet files on your back end are flooding and fighting for use. doing a disk clean up could help as well.

let me know of all this helps to speed up processes. hardware acceleration could also be a huge factor. Flash is being run out of browsers lately so you will see a change in the next 12 months how ad's function and more streamline browsing. let me know.
