Are Gen 2 Nissin calipers better than Gen 1?

Hi everyone. Looking to upgrade my 06 Daytona's front calipers (a topic discussed a million times, I know). Swapping for a Gen 2 Daytona monobloc Nissin set seems the most affordable route to go down, however, does anyone know if they will be an 'upgrade', or is going down the r1/r6 route worth the extra money? Loads of R1 2015+ calipers out there for reasonable money

I don't know anyting about the first gen or R1/R6 calipers but the Nissin set are excellent.
I've got some Nissin Monoblocks from a 2013 Daytona I'll happily sell you cheap
Yes, they are better, but better still are the R6/R1 calipers.
I think just as important is which master cylinder you use.

I totally agree, I have Galespeed VRC19 Master Cylinders mated to R6 Calipers on both my Daytona race bikes.
