I purchased this Arai Signet-X from Revzilla in 2017. I used it as a spare and occasional passenger helmet. Besides a few minor defects in the painted finish, the helmet is in very nice condition. The shell, liner, straps and shield are all in nice shape and the all the vents open and close smoothly.
The Diamond White color is a gloss white with a subtle metallic sparkle. It's almost an exact match to the white paint Triumph uses, such as on the 2011-2012 Daytona 675R.
The Signet-X is Arai's 'long oval' head shape.
Before listing the helmet for sale, I removed the chin curtain, cheek pads, neck roll, liner and strap covers and cleaned everything. Once the interior components were completely dry, I carefully reassembled the helmet. This process is rather straight forward once you're familiar with everything fits together. Arai also sells all the components individually, so you could easily put an entirely new interior in this helmet for ~ $160.
The manufacture date on the buckle shows 01/17, so this helmet is now six years old. Most manufacturers suggest replacing your helmet every five years, but I'm not really sure that's necessary, especially if the helmet, like this one, spent most of it's life in the (included) helmet bag, sitting on the top shelf of a closet, away from dirt, dust and UV light.
I also have all of the original documentation that came with the helmet including the owner's operation manual, the warrantee card and the Arai sticker sheet in addition to the Arai helmet bag. I even have the little bottle of gasket conditioner that came with the helmet.
These ultra-premium helmets are currently $719 new before taxes so here is an opportunity to pick a very nice Arai for half the retail price.
