Hi guys I was wondering if someone can given me advise. I am looking at a 2010 daytona 675 it as about 42k on the clock. It has had a recent service and new front discs, pads and fork seals replaced. Is 42k too much millage on a bike or do you think its good to go

Sadly no one in this forum can answer that mate, but given that its been ridden for 42k miles maybe it means it's been taken care of, oil intervals on time etc etc.... you should get a mechanic do a basic test and check on the bike before you buy it.

My track bike has over 60k. It's been over revved more than a few times, gets an oil change once a year, and has been crashed at least a half dozen times. My street bike had a clutch explode at 45k whick put a hole in the block because the previous owner took it to some hack mechanic (I bought it with the blown engine). Overall I think they're decently reliable. The most common points of failure are the CPS, the stator, the reg/rec, and the cam chain tensioner. All relatively easy repairs.
