Hey all,

I’ve had my Daytona 675 for a good while now but recently when I changed my oil I had some small bits of metal in it. Non metallic so I didn’t worry too much but dropped my sump anyways.Then I saw these tiny dots everywhere. They don’t move around freely at all and it seems kind of like it’s just from a bad cast, but I want all of your opinions. See the pictures below and tell me if yours looked like this or not.

Haven't seen that before but have thankfully not had to remove many oil pans.

Seems like it has to be from manufacture. No way pan could get hot enough to smelt metal to itself. I assume they don't just scrape off easily.

I've seen that with other manufacturers as well. As long as they don't easily pick off I wouldn't be concerned.

That casting looks beautiful compared to one of my curent late model KTM's.

they don’t scrape off at all but yeah I assumed it was fine and maybe from the manufacturer welding something close by.
