I put a generic title in because that's roughly what I searched for about an hour with little to no results on Google.

Just looking for some straight guidance here. I'm picking up an 07 Daytona on Sunday with race fairings in rough condition. I wanted to get some street fairings so I can practice on the bike before bringing it to the track.

Will 09-12 675R fairings with newer light style fit on the older bikes with little to no modifications? I believe all of the factory wiring is still in place. I have to purchase fairings AND lights. So if it's all a direct fit/upgrade then that's the only real answer I need. Just looking to avoid zip ties and custom brackets etc. Want to buy cheap used parts because after this season it's getting full race fairings again and becoming a track only vehicle.

Thanks for any help. Only thing I could find was one forum post asking a similar question but there was a lot of back and forth about swapping parts I don't have. Also something about infills. Don't know what that is. Do I care about it? Not worried about looks or rattles, just need to get lights on the bike to make it street legal.

Edit: Specifically the 09-12 675R style fairings

To be honest, you don't NEED upper and lower fairings. You can mount the headlight to the front subframe then get some side lights and mount them to the brackets that the fairings would mount to. You will need a tail fairing however.

To answer your question directly, there is no issue mounting 2nd gen fairings to a first gen bike. Fairings and headlight aside, you will also need the 2nd gen windscreen and intake triangle.

Thanks for the info! Yeah I'm not worried about looks. I'll likely go the route of just buying lights and a tail fairing just to make it street legal. Seems like the cheapest route before it becomes a track only bike. I appreciate the response!

That's what I did with my bike. Just looks like a speed triple now.
