Quickshifter in an 07 Daytona

Hey guys. I’m getting ready to put together a track bike for entertainment, not racing purposes. I have never ridden a track before, but I’ve been riding the street off and on for 20 years. I have a quickshifter that came with my 2009 Daytona. I don’t know much about these things so I was wondering what your opinions are on them. First of all, can anyone tell me whether it will work on the 07 based on the picture? Second, can anyone confirm what all is involved with installing it on the 07 Daytona? And third, is it worth installing for a four track days a year rider?
Thanks

Gen1(06-08) computers do not support the OEM quickshifter. You would need to go aftermarket.

Also, if you are thinking of upgrading your gen1 ECU to a Gen2(09-12) it will not work with your dash. Gen2 ECUs support the OEM quickshifter.

Good info, thanks. So I will have to upgrade the ecu and dash in order to use the OEM quickshifter. That sounds cost prohibitive so I will likely eBay it and go aftermarket. Thanks
