Hi thanks for your time and video, yes that does sound like mine plus This is the first time since I got the bike that Iíve run it with fairings off which must keep some noise in ? I think maybe I am over thinking things, what I might do is call to local bike shop and see if he will cast his ear over it, will let you know what he thinks thanks again mike

So does your bike make that same racket and it doesn't go away? Or is it the same thing that it only happens for the first few seconds on start up. Take a vid and post it if you can... Don't be an idiot like me and shoot the vid from the right side of the bike where the cam tansioner is.

Not much engine noise difference between fairings and no fairings.

Garage
The stock headers on the 09's are known for cracking around the welds, look around the crossover pipes. That will make a ticking sound.
