Metal oil seal?

I've been trying to follow the guide and have realised my oil seal looks a little different than the photos I have seen of others' bikes. Is it possibe a 2015 Street Triple R has a different original seal?

Some backstory, I was checking the valve clearences and decided to look under the front sprocket cover for some dumb reason, I replaced it then realised there were a bunch of hoses in the way, I thought I had moved the hoses correctly and after putting the bike back together and taking it for a ride there was oil all over the place. I found the fuel tank drain tube had wrapped around the drive shaft and ripped the inside of the seal apart.

I was planning on drilling a couple of holes and taking it out, but it is metal, all the photos I can find of oil seals look different. Is this the oil seal? Am I missing something!? It seems there was an inner part to the seal that has been completely ripped out and lost.

EDIT - While researching the oil seal I've just found out about garter springs and realised that is the little spring I found floating about the shaft when I took it apart. I now assume my oil seal used to look like everybody elses until the drain hose wrapped around the shaft and ripped the seal apart leaving the spring and the metal inside of the seal.
