Hm...I have a bit of a different perspective on this. The risk comes from gifting the money. Be upfront and have the buyer pay extra to cover the 3% fee and additional charges for shipping confirmation/insurance. Doing business on any forums is inheritently risky. There are certainly ways for both the purchaser and seller to protect themselves. I could personally care less if the person buying from me has one post or 10k. I will still protect myself the same way either way. I make exceptions for people I know, but that's different.

I admit, i do this too to buyers with zero cred, posts, time, mutuals, etc.
When in doubt, gift it out. I'll sell to the nigerian prince as long as he paypals me funds as gift from a confirmed acct.... and of course pays for shipping to nigeria.
