But I have a question: is it me or are they racing with street tires ? They dont look like slick tires....

I believe the supersport rules require racing on DOT race rubber, not slicks (those are legal in superbike only).

I could be wrong...haven't paid attention in a while

Nope, you are correct. Treaded, not slicks, in World Supersport.
