In another post I discussed tearing down a track day 2007 Daytona. I’m in the process of reinstalling the head and the manual brought up a question. My head bolts did not have separate washers with them. I included a picture of one of my head bolts. As you can see they have what looks like a built in washer, but the manual clearly shows a separate washer in the pics. I don’t know the history of this bike which is why I am tearing it down before I use it. Should I buy the washers to go under the head bolts?
Yeah, I have the service manual with the sequence on everything on the head. Did some model years not have the washers? Or is this a sign of a poor mechanic?
