2015 front sprocket, 06-12 same?

Ordered a 520 renthal sprocket for the 2015 motor i have, and well there is about .2mm gap (freeplay), as the nut runs out of thread before tightening it down.
Has anyone had this issue?
I "could" put the nut on with the recessed portion against the sprocket but that is not how it is intended.

Is the 2006-2012 the same sprocket?

According to the p/n listed on bike bandit they are not the same for 06-12. However, that is more than likely because there is a gearing change from 16 to 15 teeth. I am willing to bet the spline and spacing is the same between gens. The P/N for the 1st Gen is T1180182 and it shows that it fits the 2013 Daytonas as well as a bunch of other bikes. The P/N for the 2015 is T1182011 and shows it is for 17-13 Daytonas.

However, to fill the gap I would be very tempted to add an additional washer.

2013 Daytona's up to VIN 564947, so the 2nd gen ones made in 2013. All parts for 2nd or 3rd gen show fitment for 2013 depending on the VIN.

At this point i am going to add a a very thin washer to remove the slack between the crush/safety washer and sprocket..

The recess goes against the sprocket. The output shaft sticks out past the washer. The recess allows the nut to tighten on the shaft.

Never had a bike that used the recess portion before to put pressure on the sprocket, I know my 2012 675R did not. Oh well going to slap it on that way for now, as want to get the bike together.
