Question Daytona 675 sitting for 3 years; list to get up and running??

Hello everyone!

Long time rider, first time Daytona owner. I just picked up a '09 Daytona 675 Triple. It's been sitting in a garage for the past few years. Has about 5k miles on it.

Was curious what all I needed to clean/change/check to get it back in prime condition.

So far I have changed the oil, new filter, and new battery. I'm seeing that it needs a new chain/sprocket/tires. To note, it will crank but not start, so I plan to check the spark plugs/injectors.

Is there anything else I should add to my list??

Thanks!

Check gas for rust. I'd look to change fuel filter

Tires for age and they may be flat spotted after sitting so long.

Happier than a seagull with a french fry!

Get a Shorai or similar battery. Makes all the difference.

All fluids. You've already done the oil, but the coolant, brake fluid, fuel and suspension fluid need to be dumped ASAP. +1 to checking the gas tank and changing the filter and +1 to new tires.

The injectors are a good idea and if you're pulling them, it also means the fuel rail will be drained which is also a good thing. When you put new fuel in, make sure it's something with a good detergent like Techron or add your own, like K100.

Good call on the fluids; since it wont turn over, i was going to check the injectors/spark plugs

Edit: Also any leads on a fuel filter? havent had much luck when searching.

Sounds exciting. Keep us posted on your progress. Post up some pics of your work and when the D675 is road-ready!
