Voted Honda but admittedly they're not exactly pushing the envelope in innovation. Still picked them for the reliability factor. More time riding, less time fixing always gets my vote. That being said... haven't really heard of too many horror stories about the other manufacturers.

All. Some would say Honda started the motorcycle revolution. Suzuki's I've known are bomb proof. Kawasaki has a penchant for building some insane motorbikes from time to time. Yamaha's engines are glorious.

Without all of them pushing each other, the technology and performance we know today may not have existed.

Epic bump.
I have always been a Yamaha guy. Just personal preference.
Honda probably has the most respect overall though.

Nearly a decade later and even though back then I was riding an R1, I'd still choose Yamaha today. The '98 R1 set the staple in the liter bike world and up until 2015, they haven't had any major recalls (among their supersports/superbikes) or have any serious issues (excessive oil burning, frame cracking, etc. like other makes) among their first year production updates. It still saddens me to have sold my '15 R1, but I'll have another one in the future; whether it's the current gen or the next.

As far as the 600's, those bikes are still compared to the R6 (loved my '09) when it comes to the track and that bike hasn't been updated since before this thread was started. I still want an R7 and if they had an R7 today, it'd be curtains. Only difference with this thread from back then and today, is respek. I might be biased, but I've also owned a Kawi and a Zuk.
