Thanks for the feedback guys.
I agree with the voting. But I don't think that you should have to have a set number of replies in a thread to be able to be submitted.
I think set date for when you can submit, then voting is stared/end on specified days would be good enough.
the minimum post requirement is merely to keep it to members who have contributed to the community, although some members in the past have spammed their way into the Classified section with multiple posts of "nice bike" or some other sort of vapid posting.
#2. Can't you just add a pole to the thread to see who wins? That way the members vote.

Yes, there will be an entry thread open for the first three weeks of the month, where members post their bikes. Then a voting thread will be created, where ALL members will be able to vote(on bikes from the entry thread) until the end of the month.
Voting. Start up a voting thread, then say take the top 3 bikes with the most nominations (you cannot nominate yourself) and put them into the final voting thread. Most votes wins. Hide poll results so you can't see.
I was going to make this as autonomous as possible. the entry thread would be for members to post their own bikes/list of mods. they would be able to enter as many times as they wished so long as they weren't a previous winner. Plus this would eliminate members from nominating a bike that had previously won a BOTM
After the allotted time, I would copy the pics into another thread, with a poll for all members to vote on. possibly made a force read

I think a minimum post count is a good idea. It would keep someone from making fake accounts to vote again.
The minimum post count would only be for the BOTM Entrants, not for the Voting thread.
I wouldn't mind having two BOTMs. Either seperate the Daytonas from the ST3s, or maybe like the calander, have one for track and one for street. If it's done right, you can use the BOTM winners as the calendar entries too and save Justin some work. Just my thoughts on the matter. I'll be happy to have BOTM back no matter how it goes.
The Daytona/ST3 split is a good idea. apples to apples, so to speak.
