Guessing the bike is still pretty standard vs the likes of the Mahi zx6r?

It was good to see some tv coverage, I am hoping to meet up with Andy the team owner this weekend,(hopefully buying one of his last years 675R's) I'll ask how far it been developed and post it up,

The guys had some bad luck at the last round, On the Friday practice an engine let go with the conrod in three pieces it split the casings and dumped the oil into the bellypan, as it was wet the bungs were out so it went everywhere, the put another engine in that had an issue at the previous round that they though they had fixed but it wasn't quite right, so they pulled that one back out and replaced it with their only other spare engine, this as well as fixing crash damage from the Saturday being a 3am finish.
During the race the third engine blew a head gasket, it sounded like a pretty trying weekend, so they are hoping for a bit of luck to go their way for the next round.

Anyone seen any reports from the team, from the weekend?

Seems that Mitch had a decent run and made up quite a few places in the last couple laps - I think he came in 22nd, starting from grip position 33 (one of the MV's took 10th and the other was a couple laps behind, but I was not sure if he came into troubles... sounded like it).

I'v gotta say though, WSSP has to be up there (with Moto2) as the most exciting class of racing to be watching at the moment... Sam Lowes is riding like a beast, but watching 4 riders (Sam, Kenan, Fabian Foret and VD Mark @ this particular race) dicing from corner to corner, on the last lap, all racing for the win is awesome!! Doesnt seem to be an isolated thing either, its happening most rounds!

Question for those more experienced... Why do guys like Kenan, who has won the championship 3 times, choose to stay in this class and not progress into WSBK?

Kenan did step up to Superbikes a couple of years ago, but didn't do any good, but if memory serves me right, I think he had a bother?? pass away in an accident, or something like that, at the same time.

Oh, ok - thanks for posting. I didnt know that.

It just seems that there is often a couple of pretty high profile riders that do well in (arguably) a lower class, but then do not really progress past that point into (arguably again) the premier class...

Have you seen Andy or Mitch publish anything on their weekend?

No I haven't seen a report from the weekend yet, it looked like they did ok though.

I spoke to Andy this morning, he said yes a small improvement but they need more speed, and he had to rebuild another engine, but they have systems in place now that are helping make the weekends run smoother, so it should start to show on the track

Damn oil coolers!

Carr was making good progress in the first session, when a damaged oil cooler began to leak causing Mitchell to be black flagged
