Just read this for the first time. EPIC. I've done one long road trip alone with my car, from Toronto -via Colorado , Vegas, cali, Wyoming and home. I hope to follow in your footsteps and try it on my daytona!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR STORY, definitely inspiring.

Thumbs up

Just took a few hours out of my Sunday to binge-read this. EPIC! I'm from Asheville but now live in Tucson and have road-tripped (not on the bike) across the US four times for various reasons. Reading your post brought back a lot of memories. Everyone should take off on a bike once in their lives.

Loved reading about your experience on Hwy 50-the "lonliest road in America." My wife and I took a huge road trip a few years back (again, not on the bike, sadly) and had a few crazy/spooky/weird experiences there. We stopped at that very same gas station in Austin, blew a tire and had it replaced in Eureka, and I think stayed at what looked like the same hotel in Ely. Not that there are a ton of options.

One last thing... Ely to Vail in a day!? That's a haul and a half. My taint would be black and blue after a mission like that. Crazy beautiful though past Green River Utah and on into Colorado. Nice work.

Cheers man, glad you liked it. I'm amazed people are still reading this and still enjoying it. I haven't been here in a while but I had a rather bad Friday at work and decided my therapy would be to relive my trip again.

I noticed that a bunch of the pictures are now missing. I wonder what happened to them. I did everything the same way and checked every post after doing it. I wonder if I can go back and fix them...
