Hey guys,
So, I suck at electrical systems and have a question:
When I connect my multimeter in continuity mode to Positive and Negative of my bike w/ no battery it reads 614.
Is that normal? or do I have a short somewhere?
Does this cause a slow drain on my battery?
My multimeter reads 1 when there is no connection...
Thanks!
Chris

I don't think this is a problem, Things like globes will show up as a reading although not switched on, seems normal to me.
If you want to find a voltage drain it would be better to connect the battery and put the multi-meter in series with one of the terminals and on current setting(don'd switch the bike on as current might just exceed the multi meter capability).

So.... Im not really sure what search terms i should use to figure out the acceptable voltage drain on my bike...
1) Did I do this right?
and
2) Is this acceptable when the bike is off?

Thanks!
Chris

i think you have to apply the black wire from the multimeter to the ground on the battery...red wire from multimeter to ground on bike wire harness to find voltage drain...all while your positive terminal is still connected...
