WTB: 2006-2008 Low-Mileage, Strong Daytona 675 Engine

Hey all,

My engine spit out a few pieces of metal a while ago, and after a terrible experience with a bad engine from eBay, I eventually tore mine apart to see what the damage was. It looks like a decent rebuild is going to run me at least $1K in parts. So, in an effort to save myself some time and labor, I thought I would check to see if anyone on here has a solid, running engine they are looking to part with.

Must be from a 2006-2008 bike, not really interested in trying to set up a 2009-12 motor as it appears to require a header from a bike of those years and an ECU flash at minimum. Looking for something with 15K miles or less.

I have budgeted $1,500 for this project, but that doesnít necessarily mean Iím willing to clear it out on an engine with 15K on the clock. For context, I would gladly drop the full budget on an engine with 6K verifiable miles, or something recently rebuilt with proof of work and compression numbers. Obviously, this would be an ideal circumstance, and the world is not perfect, thus I am ready to negotiate with an open mind.

Local pick-up would be preferred so I can inspect the engine before purchase, but I am open to shipping if the seller is willing to cover/coordinate freight and can provide some form of guarantee that the engine runs as it should. I am in Lake Forest, California.

Show me what you got!

Please close this thread. No longer looking for an engine, just want a new bike.
