California Track Days!

Anyone doing any track days?! There’s a regional section, but I figured there may be some love here as well and maybe, just maybe, someone from neighboring states will want to join! I’m doing Buttonwillow on Labor Day, 9/3! Haven’t been out for over a year since my crash, but I’m eager to get back out!

I’ve yet to ride thunderhill, but hear nothing but great things! I’d like to go some time soon! What organization do you usually ride with there? I hear the east track is better than the west

5 mile is by far the best configuration when east and west Thunderhill are connected. Only runs 2-3 times per year.
These trackday organizations run Thunderhill

I am in LA and it’s a 500 mile drive up to Willow, CA. So I would only go for a 5 mile event.

Remember, fast riders have slow hands

Yeah I’m up near Santa Barbara so other than Buttonwillow, most tracks are a good distance away. Going that far, I wouldn’t mind doing a back to back. I really like Buttonwillow, but simply want to broaden my horizon. I’ve ridden willow springs and crashed there. Not a big fan of it in general, though. Wasn’t the smoothest track.

Just did the Labor Day track day at Buttonwillow, and god do I miss the track! Not nearly as quick as I was before the crash, but it’s all muscle memory, I’ll be faster than ever. First time after new gearing and it’s very different, not sure I like it or not yet. We’ll have to see!

I’m located in Thousand Oaks 👍🏼 I’ll be doing buttonwillow with TrackDaz on Nov 24th if you’re down to go. Hopefully I’ll have my bike set up with track fairings and fixed up before. If not I’ll be taking my FZ-07 instead
