Still loving this little thing.

This week I road to Asheville NC from Fayetteville and hit the twisties around my son's house with him. Then left at 0300 to make a 0800 meeting in Madison, hitting rain going thru Pisgah Nat'l Forest. About half its' life has been spent in heavy rain.

Now I'm thinking a new 765 next year would be a great b'day present.

A turbo Striple? Damn. Lol. That would be a blast.

I clocked 4500 miles when I got home from work last night, and have had him exactly four weeks. I already need a rear rubber soon. He's just so much fun to ride and so cheap for my long commutes that none of the Harleys are getting ridden.

I'm going to try to hit Devil's Race Track road in Benson one day this weekend. If you're gonna be out lemme know. I've found while riding the twistees in the mountains where I work that I'm still getting somewhat unsettled moving back and forth on the seat in tight, multiple curves. I could use a set of eyeballs to watch what I'm doing wrong.

Just found out I'm taking Piglet to Kentucky this weekend instead of local. The roads around the Corbin area - especially the state park - looked like they'd be awesome for playing on. I'll probably be pushing 6000 on the original rear by the time I get back. So it'll be time to order the BT-30 rear.

I prefer the Cumberland Falls road over Tail of the Dragon. It lets you catch a breather with a few straights.

We went hiking there last time we were up. The road into and around the park is the one I had in mind when I told the missus I might trailer it up.

Checking on trailer rental tomorrow. I've done a bit of touring on it but nine hours up on Friday and nine back Sunday would leave me exhausted for work Monday.

I never go to the Dragon anymore. It's always clogged with cars or the weekend warrior Harley guys. Too many good roads in Stokes and Forsyth counties to drive all the way to the Blue Ridge. Lol.
