No worries. It's only obvious to those of us who experienced it. Could be worse; the last two times I stopped for a bike stranded on the side of the road all they needed was to have the fuel tap switched to reserve. And one needed to have the reserve thing explained. (I'd guess many people here have never had a bike with that)

Pull the terminals out and give them a good sanding... It is common that when the terminals are bit loose that some corrosion builds up on the connectors and on the terminals, and this will affect the connection itself. After this, put everything back together and tighten firmly.
