side cover compatibility

Hey all, can someone tell me if a 2008 street triple GB racing clutch cover will work with my 2010? Might be able to pick a used one up for a good price, but need to know if it will work on my bike.

Not without grinding parts of the gb cover down. The newer clutch cover is just a slightly different shape. I put one on my bike an it took about 1/2 hour with some hand files to make it fit.

Depends on what cover he has. If it's round and smooth then yes. If it's the one with embossing then no.

My bike is an 08, but I have a newer embosed clutch cover on it. I got a gb cover intended for the older (round smooth) clutch to fit on. But, as I said, it's not just a bolt on. You have to grind parts of the gb cover to get it to fit.

Mine is smooth -- no embossing on the cover... so I take it, this should fit?

If your actual clutch cover is a grey color and doesn't have 'Triumph' embosed in it, then the clutch cover is from an 06 - 08 engine. If you have an 06 - 08 gb cover, then it will fit without any modifications needed.
