Opened up the 2 Allen bolts at the front of the gas tank and Gas tank came up. Now my darn battery is dead.

I noticed a steady flow of stem coming from under the right side of the gas tank. It doesn't smell like smoke but i need to figure out what's going on. I took off the seat and didn't see anything unusual. I've never pulled off a gas tank before so looking for some help. Any specific tool needed for the removal?

You need to remove the two Allen bolts near the Tripple Clamp, that you mentioned. Once those are out, you need to remove the seat and remove the 7MM bolt in the gas tank hinge. The tank will be disconnected from the frame at this point. To pull the tank off after that, you'll need to do the following:

Disconnect the fuel line
Disconnect the two rubber breather hoses
Disconnect the Fuel Pump connector
Disconnect the Fuel level connector

Disconnect the fuel line from the pump before you remove the hinge bolt. From experience I've found it much easier that way. Be warned though, that fuel quick connect is a pita to disconnect the first time you do/try it. Also, be careful with it, I have read of a few people breaking the end off the fuel pump while trying to remove it.

The sooner you introduce motorcycles into your children's lives, the less likely they'll have money for drugs, alcohol and cigarettes as teenagers.
