There is no pic with your post, so I can't be sure, but the only jumped connector I know about on that year of D675 is a black connector not far from the OBD connector and next to the battery - if that's the one you mean then it is there when the optional alarm/immobiliser module is not fitted. The module controls the (from memory) ignition, fuel pump and starter functions to immobilise the bike when it's activated, so if there is no module these wires have to be bridged.
If there is a bad connection here, it could cause your non-starting issue, although it isn't the only possibility.
