Valve clearance and metal particles

Hi there, guys I'm doing my valve clearance and when I opened the throttle bodies I could see the IN valves with some metal particles on the top. Is it bad? Any way to remove these? And then I checked the clearance and I was at 0.200 on all the IN valves. Does that make sense for you, I mean I am on the top of the range already, so has it damaged the valves seat?. Also, for the EX valves, I have 0.350 on 3 of them but I saw in this forum that a certain VIN has a clearance range up to 0.375. However I have 0.340 on the others so I must be out of range somewhere! You insight and help is much appreciated! See the pic attached!

Hi t_bare thanks for your reply. Shall the carbon most likely be seen on EX valves instead of intake?

Both will have some carbon buildup. But yes youíll have more on the exhaust side. Any fuel contaminated and dirt that gets past the air filter will burn to the valve. Also the crankcase breather puts oil vapors into the intake which will cause buildup in the intake as well. Itís all normal and not something to worry about.

Thanks MacBandit for your insight. What worries me most actually is the valve clearance and the figure that came out after the check. Loose everywhere and at 0.350 on three exhaust valve. Wonder how can I get such clearance with the bike still running good. Looks like I'm good for changing the shims...
