Question About Adding a QS

I am mostly asking this here because its too cold to go into the garage to look at it/ I am being lazy. I know you can just plug and play a stock "R" quickshifter into any '13+. I know that it can be done on a '12 as well. I have a 2011 that I would like to add one to (non R). Is the plug there and the ECU set up for it on the '11's?

According to the parts fiche at Bike Bandit, there is indeed a QS for the '11 675. List price is US$425, plus shipping.

I've been browsing though Bike Bandit. It would seem that if the VIN is higher than 451399 then a QS should work. There are two different harnesses listed for the 2011 and 2012. There is only one part number for the ECU's though so I would imagine that if you had the older pre-451399 then you could just source a newer style harness and QS and be set.

Can anyone confirm this?

It comes down to, Is the connector the same for the different kits? The current standard QS harness side connector is this, while the kit side connector is this (also used as a blanking cap for the harness-side connector).

The stock unit that I added to my '15 just plugged right in. Not sure why it wouldn't be the same for the '11 and '12

My info is that the QS function was added for VIN 411984 and on. I don't know how that works out for Triumph's model year schedule.

Actually - just looking at the Triumph installation instructions - it's just the Street Triple that starts at 411984. The way this is written, *all* VINs and model years of Daytona 675 have the QS connector.

All Daytona models 09+ have a QS connector. It's located under the fuel tank, on top of the airbox.

Far Canal is correct. I bought a 2013 QS off ebay, and plugged it right into my 2009. Worked flawlessly.

Just lift up your tank, and if there is a plug under it, it'll work.
