Idle speed discrepancies

I have a hotter motor and custom tune with the idle set at 1900rpm. The bike runs fine until i give it throttle then the rpms drop to maybe 1000 amd occasionally dies. Opinions on if this is a tune issue or just needs an idle stepper adjustment?

*drums fingers* If this was a carb'd bike, I'd say your pilots were fouled or your mixture screws were too lean. If you have TuneECU or similar, try adding a little fuel at the bottom.

Also, 1900 strikes me as a little fast.

1900 sounds way too high.

I know the idle will drop to just above 1000 when really hot but ideally 1200-1300 is ideal.

I had issues with low idles and it did my ****ing head in so I installed a manual idle and set it up to work with the stepper motor in the way it would stop the idle dropping below a set amount. Works a treat now.
