Sporadic P0113 code

This is now the second occurrence. Over a year ago I had the code pop on the last session of a track day. Packed the bike and went home. Worked on trouble shooting and didn't find any obvious issues. Reset code and didn't pop for over a year. Last day out it popped again on last session of the day. Both days were blisteringly hot and humid and both times it was end of the day. Any reason that atmospheric conditions could cause the code? The bike seemed to run fine when the code was throwing, does it go into a default map or something to run until resolved. I'm a little stumped at what could be causing it. Obviously sensor could have crapped out but I would think it would be throwing the code constantly.

A good place to start is checking that the wiring isn't exposed and getting Shorted. Specially where the harness rubs against the Frame or metal parts.

I'm going to pull tank and air box again to check. When I had it apart recently nothing seemed amiss but I may have missed something. Is there a continuity test that can be done for the sensor itself to confirm operation? I couldn't find anything.

Pulled the tank and sensor. Everything is in good condition. Short of a break inside the main loom going to the ecu I don't know what else to look for. In the diagram it is number 17. It looks to go to A11 on the ecu (not sure where that is) and to exhaust valve which has been deleted. I wonder if there is any need for the sensor at all? Is it just part of the emission system that helps trigger the exhaust valve? If exhaust valve is gone does the inlet air temp have the ability to disable the ecu and put it into limp mode? Electrical isn't my specialty.

Open to any suggestions.
