If it is backordered and it is in stock in the UK then it usually takes about 10 days or so for it to get to the warehouse here in the States.

If it is backordered and not in stock in the UK then you are generally looking at about 4-6 weeks to get it to the States, which in turn takes a couple of days to get it to the dealer.

So if its been 5 weeks then there is nothing more you can do but wait a bit longer.

+1... Get drunk till your parts arrive. It'll be a while. There are only 3 guys that work at triumph, 2 and 1/2 are busy building bikes. The other 1/2 is a midget that runs mail/build requests to the other 2.5 people. I heard none of the triumph makers have any teeth.

I feel your pain bro....waiting on a gear shift rod for over 2 weeks. Ordered from 3 different vendors so far and they say "backordered". Found another aftermarket vendor - probolt and ordered an in stock black one! then the computer glitch in the warehouse found it was out of stock.... missing out on summer due to a broken gear shift rod!!!!

And I heard two of guys are on "holiday" this month. Sorry man, but Triumph parts don't come quickly. I waited two months for a decal--a freakin' decal! Speaking of, does anybody wanna buy a "675" tail decal? lol

When my bike was built, the 2 1/2 were on holiday, and midget built mine. Thats why its f*cked all the time. He couldn't see over the f*ckin bench to put things together correctly!!!

There will always be an unreliable version of everything. I've had mine for 12k miles now... Dozen track days, regular maintenance, no problems, not even electric. I'd assume the midget was drunk in your case.
