2009 Daytona 676

I was told that Triumph released a few 2009 Daytona’s with 2006-2008 specs and that with certain parts, I’ll have to order for a 2008. Is this true? Kinda disappointing if so cause I know there’s a couple upgrades from the 2008 to the 2009 and I think I’d like the extra power the 2009 offers😂

Is your engine black? If so it’s mostly like an 09 unless you have an SE from 08 which was only in pearl white. There are always mid year changes but not to the overall spec. Things like changes in a type of rectifier and dip stick length and oil pump type but not he spec of the motor.

Yes that's correct. You essentially have a 2008.5 year. I responded to one of your posts on the facebook page today. Yours is a black standard first gen. The extra power really isn't that much of a concern to be honest. A much bigger jump is in the 2013+ bikes.

2008 SE is Black and gold. It's the second gen SE's that were pearl white.

The 09 has 1-2 HP more than an 08. You can make that up with a decent fuel map. Or taking a big dump before you ride.

Check your cylinder head. Is it a circle port or oval port exhaust? That should be the moat obvious tell. Circle port is the old style head.
