I'm an alien, I'm a legal alien...

I'm an Englishman in New Mexico. Just picked up an '09 Daytona 675 via consignment from D and D in Pensacola (great to deal with). Dedicated track/race bike -- replacing the RC51 I very unsuccessfully raced last year, and supplementing the RC8R I have as a steer/track bike. Going to be a change from the big old '51, but at 6'7 I seem to fit the Trumpet better -- not to mention an attraction I can't quite place.

Bike arrived Monday and is pretty much fully fettled; just needs my plates (gotta contact Drippenwet), the NjCustom tank sliders installed and some skill from the rider. A lot more skill. :)

Last triple I had was a 1050 Sprint ST that I sold in 2011 with 20k miles. The 675 is a different beast. Here's hoping for some warm days at Arroyo Seco before the SMRI season starts, or even the trip to Chuckwalla if I can make the time.

Nice opener lol. At 6'4 I fit the 675, albeit I am running Helibars and ST3 rearsets for a more comfortable ride. She is a fun ride! BTW that RC8 is a awesome bike.

Ah, if only that were true. I just fake it and speak in and English accent so people assume.

I'm on Vortex clip ons and Arrow rearsets -- going the other way. At least I have short stubby legs, at least for my height.

As to the RC8? Yeah -- fantastic bike. Dream machine for me since '08 when I saw one in a dealership in the UK. Just too much bike for me to race, especially here and especially with my limited skill!
