Dry start after a week

My bike has been a little weird when I hasn't been ridden for a week or so. What happened is after a week or so when I hit the start button it sounds like there is no oil in the head and it sounds really noisy until oil gets to it and it quiets down. Has anyone had these problems before? I remember when I first started it and was considered a used bike it did the same thing.

Quite normal. My race bike sounds like a Ducati dry clutch for a few seconds

It's most likely your cam chain tensioner allowing the timing chain to rattle a bit until oil reaches it....(oil pressure driven) and it is completely normal for a few seconds after a cold start, more so it seems if its sat a while. If you have installed a manual tensioner something is wrong.

I always pause for a second when I first hear that when I haven't rode the bike in a while. Totally normal though.

Haha I do the same thing like oh ......... Oh oh, okay it's normal. Thanks guys I appreciate it, it happens after a long sit like a week and recently here in Oklahoma it's been raining so I don't get much time with my baby.
