D675 South Bay Area

Been reading the forums for months, thanks for all the info! Got on here before I got my dream bike about 4 months ago (started drooling bout 5 years ago), helped me remove the fairing for fluids change, jumped on the Metzeler tire deal and just been loving checking out what everyone has done with their rides. Looks like a great community and I'm excited to finally start contributing. Am looking forward to my first track day this year (been street riding for about 5 years) so have plenty reading ahead of me.
As far as the Bay Area I ride every weekend. One of my favorites has been Big Sur although mostly for the views. I like the ride up to Skyline on 9, those wide cambered hairpins are great! I checked out the January Doc Wong riding clinic, that was a good time, might make that a habit... Anyway, glad to be here! Cheers,

Welcome here! I rarely take road trip so you will likely not see me around big sur, but we might see each other on the 9 (where I sometime go during lunch break) or on the tracks around here

Wow. I'm jealous of that view and those roads. If you ever want to be bored out of your skull, visit Illinois.

Welcome and great back story. Glad you chose to officially join.

So I've heard!! I just mapped out a 1300 mile motorcycle camping trip for October that starts all the way hwy 1 and then cuts into the sequoia forest. Can't wait to see it all! And, welcome to the forum OP!!

Thanks! Just got back from a quick ride on H9... There was 3 cruisers coming up while I was on my way down signaling to slow down, lucky they warned me since as I came around the corner there was a little deer on the shoulder creeping into my lane. Came to a near stop in no time since I was already off the throttle, gotta love the riding community and looking out for each other!
