Which helmet you prefer or recomend?

Thought I would start something like this, been having a hard time in choosing the right lid, since most of the choices are good for safety.

Inform us all of the brand and model...
Please imply why you think its a great helmet... thanks.

Arai RX-7 all the way. I tried a lot of different helmets before I settled on this one. It just disappears above 40 MPH its so light and well vented.

Really depends on the shape of your dome brotha. Everyone is just gonna tell you about the helmet they got. Because of course they bought the best helmet! ^D My suggestion is go try the top of the line helmets from all the major manufacturers and see which will fit you the best. FWIW I have a Suomy. Unbiased review would be light weight, fits my head well, but its a pretty loud helmet IMO.

I have owned both Arai and Shoei and always perferred Shoei. However I find my XR-1000 (or RF-1000 in the US?) to be a tad on the loud side.

Good helmet apart from that though. It is light and well vented.

Really, you need to test ride a few. Borrow some from friends with similar size heads if you can ;)

Loved my Arai. Thought I would try Suomy this time around....wish I hadn't. It's fits well enough but around the track it lets way to much wind circulate around my face. My Arai never allowed that to happen.

EXACTLY. Try them all on first before buying.

Personally, I have always worn Shark. Great helmets.

I'm Arai all the way. My unusual shaped head ensures that. Also, I think Arai's interior materials are the nicest in the biz. I do think their shield mechanisms suck.
