Over the past two weeks I have noticed a strange sound coming front section of my 06 Daytona. It is like a mechanical "whirring" sound after you rev the bike. The bike still rides just fine but you can hear that noise whenever the throttle is open. I have attached a video link if anyone wants to actually hear it.
Are you asking about the "whistling"? My ear buds are not the greatest, but everything sounds fine from what I can tell. The "whistle" is a Triumph thing. :smile2:
No, I know the whistling is normal but if you listen just after the rev when it gets back down to 2k RPMs you can hear a different sound. I really don't any words to describe it.
Are you talking about the slight increase in ticking sound? It is probably your fuel injectors. Stick a screw driver on a fuel rail and put the handle end near your ear. you can get at them from the right side of the bike through the frame under the tank. Nothing in that video strikes me as alarming.
+1 for exhaust leak. Tighten up the header bolts and have another listen
