I used to ride at the track every weekend at NYST in New York. Had an 06 all done up as a track bike and man did I love it, enjoy! I did feel like my 07 cbr 600rr was just a litttttle more predictable than the Daytona.
Just started racing my Daytona 675r this year and couldn’t be happier. The low end torque is great off of the corner and it’s so easy to flick left and right! Hope you enjoy!

You won't be catching any R6's on the straightaways, so use the grunt/low end power to get on the throttle early and give yourself a head start (doesn't help that I'm fat, and on a first gen which is more down on power than yours). Typically, I catch/pass everyone in braking zones more than anywhere else. Everywhere else it's an awesome track bike, but it definitely is missing out in top end power. Personally, I can't ride an I-4. I've gotten too used to the narrowness of the triples. It's a great bike, even more so on the track.

Leaving Saturday afternoon to ride NYST Sunday and Monday, pumped to turn some hot laps there. Might even jump Wheelie Hill
