I'm planning a trip to NorCal in June and thought it'd be fun to meet some other 675'ers there. The current plan is Laguna Seca on Saturday June 9th and Sunday June 10th, and Sonoma on Monday June 11th. I'm already signed up and paid for Saturday and I'm aiming to register for the others next month.
No, you haven't mentioned that. One out of three is better than none! If we sign up for Sonoma before April 7, we get a $29 discount. I'm planning to do so.
I'm still planning on putting on my stock exhaust, on the off-chance that I can pin it past the sound booth and pass literbikes holding me up. I love that you get carte blanche for the test in the morning.
I signed up for Saturday & Monday. Will do Sunday later this month.
I’m never t a fan of rolling off. 😁 Besides they do sometimes have roving sound checkers that can flag you for a sound check regardless of what part of the track you are on.
Hey MGF. I’ve been thinking about it I think I’m going to pass. I want to do a two day at Sonoma so I’m going to look for later in the season.
Well Sonoma doesn't list any double headers but I found that Z2 Track Days lists a double August 13-14. It's listed as Yamaha customer appreciation days so I'm not sure what it is or if it's open registration. It just says more information coming soon. I may contact them about it. It could be hot but I'm thinking that being relatively close to San Francisco and being grape country the weather shouldn't be too extreme. Barring going to Sonoma I'd definitely be up for another double at Thunderhill. I really want to ride the west side.
I don't own a GoPro, but I guess I should probably get one. Then again, there are a few more parts I want and a camera just adds weight, right? @mszilves has a camera so I'm sure we'll get plenty of footage of us beating up on the big bikes.
In the meantime, have some @Hokie following me last time we were there. I pass him at 1:55. Felt like an empty track that day.
Hmmm...I definitely want to ride Laguna again. Will be thinking about this one! Hopefully I will not be one of those slow leaderbike guys you have to pass :wink3:
Of course. Get yourself and your bike out here and there will be plenty of room in the campground for you.
