2012 675r difficult to shift

So i had a shop put on rearsets and in the process, they broke the Shift rod for the QS. I was able to procure a steel replacement but ever since? The shifting is tough, like it hurts through my boots after awhile. Anyone see anything out of adjustment here?

That new shift rod might be too long. I had to buy a adjustable one that came with like 3 different size shift rods. Only one fit perfectly and after adjustment shifts smoothly now.
Shift rod length is critical when installing a qs.

Dynojet.com
Mine measures 135 to 136 mm roughly. I believe I ordered the shift rod A.

On there website go to search and put down shift rod and they all will pop up.
