By adjuster you mean the little metal conical thing? It sits on top of the spring, so if the spring came out and you have it, the adjuster must have come out too. Time to start digging.

The manual you have was published in 2009 and the R didn't come out until 2011, so that explains that.

The specs for a 2006-2008 are IN 0.10-0.20 and EX 0.275-0.325.

I don't have a 2009-2012...

Yep, otherwise you'd have to take off the exhaust every time you wanted to clean the bearings or service the shock. I like it much better this way.
