......2006 RACING TEAMS competing on the new Daytona Triple 675......

Paul Young (PYR96) is a name well-known to British and Australian racing fans.  His prolific 15-year career includes numerous wins and podium finishes in national-level Superbike and Supersport competition in both the UK and Australia.  Paul won the overall British Superstock championship in 2001;  and in 2005 he won three consecutive races in British Superstock action.  So he's bloody fast.  Paul will have a 6000-mile headstart on any would-be 675 racing competitors -- he was a development tester for Triumph in 2004, giving them input on the Daytona Triple.  He's also an occasional tester for Superbike magazine - check here for a scan from the recent issue and his opinion on the 675 on page 4/5.  Paul has established Team PYR Triumph and he'll race the Daytona 675 this season in the British Supersport Championship (link).  As we all know, Triumph is not involving itself with factory support to Paul or anyone else this year, not even at this level of competition.  Learn more about Paul's efforts via the discussions in our 675 racing forum where he's already posted and has promised to drop in whenever time allows him to.   His website is still being set up, but he can also be contacted directly at pauyoungracing@aol.com

Another way to help Youngy would be to buy your 675 race fittings from him, look here for the info.

These are the first shots we have of PYR's 675 with racing graphics, taken at Jack Lilley the last weekend in Feb., and finally, the silver race bike taken 9th March.

Triumph675.Net Forum member Rat Race did the design and says he will be offering a replica kit.

above: Paul's bike at Jack Lilley before the race fairings and paint job; this is pretty much what a Graphite PYR race replica would look like (minus the mirrors)
