Default Track day coming

It will be my first on my TripleR and I can't wait.
So... Found the fuse box... Check!

Took off blinker to see if was as bad as everyone says... Yep they are way back in there. So I probably will leave them and tape them.

My question is... Has anyone spliced in quick connects for this purpose and how'd it work and what advice do you have?

Are the rear blinkers the same? Where do those connectors hide?

Thank you... Jennings on April 22nd...

You can remove the signals withiout raising the tank then just tape off and tuck the wires behind the radiator cowls with a zip tie.

See posts #10 and 14...

The rear signal connectors are under the seat, at the back of the tail light and yes, they are the same.

Default Track day coming

The rear signals and tail light disconnect under seat by the tail light. I could find the right side front turn sig disconnect but the left one is under the air box i think so i just spliced one on it for easy removal

Would you remove the headlight fuse as well? Or is that included with the turn signal fuse?

If you remove the headlight fuse the bike won't start .....

You have to remove the bulbs or disconnect them on pre-12 at the two connectors on top of the radiator and I believe the new headlights have a single connector just under the lights.

Ohhhhhhh I was thinking about what to do when loading a new tune onto the bike so you won't drain the battery. Nevermind. Learned something new though. :)

Actually, I removed fuses for the headlights and blinkers and tail light and the bike started. The start fuse is separate at least on my 2012.

Thanks for the blinker advice... Awesome

I didn't bother disconnecting the turn signals and brake light, just taped them over. The headlights have a quick disconnect (at least on 2012s) just behind the gauges. Total prep time was like 10 minutes.

O-Man...
Can you confirm the location of the connector for the 12 and up lights? I have been looking, but not seeing anything like a connector. the lines coming out of the lights go directly to the speedo and then from there to the bike or vice versa, but I see not connectors.

No issues though... I'll tape them bad boys up and do my best to get behind the lights on the straight aways...

I can't wait... SO... anyone else going to Jennings on 4/22???
