Default Riders Discount 2012 Triumph Daytona 675R AMA Daytona Sportbike Build

We are going to use this thread to document the build of our 2012 Triumph Daytona 675R's as we prepare for the Daytona 200. We have 4 weeks to take the bikes from showroom condition to AMA DSB spec.

Let the fun begin

Such a good looking bike, however we have plans for this girl!

Should be great. Just wondering, why not the '13 model? Can't wait to see the progress.

We won't have the 2013's until the first/second week in March. It wouldn't give us enough time to build them before the Daytona 200 so we are going to use the 2012's. We should have the 2013's built and ready for the next round.

Wow, you guys spend too much on these bikes! I'm stoked that I caught this build thread when it got started. Can't wait to see what you guys do with it.

One question. Why did you get the R over a standard? I assume you will be changing it all anyway, right?

In DSB you have to use the stock brake calipers and forks, however the fork internals can be changed. That said the 675R gives us a better platform to build from.
